Canavan’s Central Appraisals is seeking an experienced Automobile Insurance Appraiser to deliver accurate, fair, and timely vehicle damage assessments. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong automotive knowledge and sound judgment who enjoys working independently while collaborating with repair facilities and insurers.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair costs
- Prepare detailed estimates using industry-standard software
- Determine repair vs. total loss decisions
- Review supplements and negotiate with repair facilities as needed
- Communicate professionally with policyholders and industry partners
- Maintain accurate documentation and meet service-level expectations
What You Bring
- 3+ years’ experience in auto appraisal, insurance claims, or automotive repair
- Strong understanding of vehicle construction, repair methods, and parts pricing
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to inspection sites
- I-CAR, Red Seal, or related certifications (asset)

Experience with Audatex and Mitchell estimating systems is preferred. Insurance industry experience and bilingual abilities will be considered strong assets.
